From housing associations to EMS
My background in mould work began in housing associations. That was where I started building the experience I now bring to EMS.
Today, EMS helps homeowners and landlords across Kent with mould removal and practical advice on moisture. It’s my own business, built on the work I’ve been doing for around eight years.
A clear starting point
A patch on a bedroom wall, mould around a window or a recurring problem in a rental property can leave you unsure what to do next. Start by telling us which rooms are affected and how long the problem has been there.
We discuss the proposed work and price before treatment begins. If further investigation is needed, we explain that too.
What we can help with
- Mould removal — treatment of visible mould and practical prevention advice.
- Mould surveys and testing — enquiries about inspections, the purpose of sampling and reporting requirements.
- Indoor air quality testing — discussing your concern and which measurements would be useful.
The scope, availability and any external testing arrangements are confirmed before booking.
UKAME membership
EMS is a member of the UK Academy of Mould Experts. You can read about the organisation and its membership programme on the UKAME website.
Looking beyond the visible patch
Cleaning alone cannot promise that mould will stay away. A leak, condensation or another source of moisture may also need attention. Our approach is to consider the visible problem alongside practical next steps for the property.
Our mould and indoor air quality guides explain common questions, with links to the sources used.
